Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series - The Big Bang Theory

Jim Parsons emerged as the poster boy of geek chic, thanks to his winning portrayal of Sheldon Cooper, a neurotic and socially maladjusted physicist on “The Big Bang Theory” (CBS, 2007- ). While his character is the quintessential brainiac, with two PhDs and a master’s degree, Parsons also gives Sheldon a healthy dose of charm and leading-man likeability. He may be the show’s breakout star, but will he also become the series’ first cast member to win an Emmy?

I agree with all of you! Jim Parsons is outstanding! The Big Bang Theory premiers today... and I can't wait to see it!!! ^_^ I wanted him to win but Alec Baldwin won... uh! Boring! I tried to watch 30 Rock and I just didn't find it funny at all. TBBT is so much funnier and smart. Sheldon is my favorite nerd! *sighs* <3 Go Jim!!! ***

Brilliance in comedy = Jim Parsons! I love this guy! He's so funny! He's made Sheldon one of the most interesting man on tv! Thanks Jim and the rest of the Big Bang Theory cast and writers for bringing more laughter to our home! Way to go!

Jim is great in this role. He plays the neurotic scientist so well, you can't help but look forward to all his scenes. The gift eposide had me laughing for weeks!

Jim Parsons is too funny on the Big Bang Theory, Love Him! What an awesome actor and show, it should have been nominated for best comedy series. The entire cast is great. Good luck, hope you win, you deserve it!
