I think that "the Middle" has been overlooked as well as "parenthood" and "men of a certain age. All these shows have excellent actors who relate to the "middle class" and are multifaceted in story lines as well as actors. Why must we continue to stroke the egos of a few year after year. It is getting to be a snore.

I don't remember the last time any actor or actress deserves to win more than Margo Martindale. I don't hers was the single best performance of any actor or actress of the 2010-2011 season. The only way anyone wouldn't vote for her performance would be if they haven't seen her. Archie Panjabi? Why did she even get nominated? I thoroughly enjoy THE GOOD WIFE, but she is only adequate, not great.

What about Pauley Perrette (Abby Shuto)? She is one of my favorite characters on TV. Intelligent and Quirky in a great way. My two step sisters want to be scientists thanks to her. Where's the love for her for an amazing character?

Justified's Margo should win hands down. I have to agree with those posts on this show. Don't let the theme, which I also find quite original, nor the western looking style fool you. This is by far one of the best original show I have come across in quite some time.

  • Blog: Star Maker or Doorstop? Emmy Winners on the Value of the Award

Are Melissa McCarthy and Peter Dinklage now household names? The plus-sized actress walked off with the Emmy for outstanding lead actress in a comedy series, beating out veteran funny women, including past winners Edie Falco ("Nurse Jackie") and Tina Fey ("30 Rock"). And the 4'5" Dinklage nabbed the supporting drama actor statue for HBO's "Game of Thrones," his first Emmy after a career as a journeyman player. more »
